On February 6 , 1990 The Golden Brett joins the Golden Jet as the first father-son combination to score 50 goals in a season. Early in the third period, Brett Hull of the St. Louis Blues scores his 50th goal on a breakaway. Hull, who is usually indecisive on breakaways, changes his mind before sliding the puck low to Toronto goalie Jeff Reese’s stick side into the lower left corner of the net. Bobby Hull, who scored 50 goals five times for Chicago, is at the game in St. Louis. “I wasn’t really nervous until I saw him in warmups,” Brett says after the 6-4 victory. “I said, ‘Oh, no, now he put a little pressure on me. I’ve got to do it.’ It makes it all the better that he’s here.”
