He hits wide receiver Cliff Branch twice (two and 29 yards) and running back Kenny King for an 80-yarder to boost Oakland’s lead to 14-0 late in the first quarter. The Raiders are the first wild-card team to win the Super Bowl, though not the first non-first place team to triumph. The Kansas City Chiefs finished second in the AFL West in the 1969 season on their way to the Super Bowl crown.
